Shoot Like a Girl started after the founder of the company had her own personal struggle to not only become involved in shooting sports but to compete to the best of her ability. In her mind, there needed to be a company whose sole purpose was to encourage more women to participate in all shooting sports; and Shoot Like a Girl was created.

With the number of women interested in and purchasing firearms for personal protection skyrocketing, the firearm industry has been slow to meet the unique and specific needs of female shooters. Until now, there has not been a complete and comprehensive resource for women that answers their questions, provides guidance, as well as offers products for women to safely handle and carry a firearm. A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League is a ladies-only organization established by women shooters for women pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooters! The league is designed to take beginners to whatever skill level they wish to achieve and provide experienced shooters with more opportunities. The objective of some is to improve their skill levels for self-defense and competitive shooting. Others also are interested in learning how to choose the right guns, gear, and accessories for long-term participation in the community.
